Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL)- BCCL is a Public Sector Undertaking engaged in mining of coal and allied activities. It occupies an important place in as much as it produces bulk of the coking coal mined in the country. BCCL meets almost 50% of the total prime coking coal requirement of the integrated steel sector. BCCL was incorporated in January, 1972 to operate coking coal mines operating in the Jharia and Raniganj Coalfields, taken over by the Govt. of India on 16th Oct,1971 to ensure planned development of the scarce coking coal resources in the country.

Now Bharat coking Coal Limited publishes a latest notification for the recruitment of 472 Posts of Junior Overman, Mining Sirdar and Surveyor (Mining). Bharat Coking Coal Limited, (A Subsidiary of Coal India Limited- A Maharatna Company) a Govt of India Undertaking which is engaged in Coal Mining activities invites applications through their Employment Notice Number-08/2013 from Indian Citizens for filling up the 472 posts of Jr. Overman, Mining Sirdar and Surveyor(Mining) including backlog. Other details regarding educational qualification, age limit, selection process and last date etc. are mentioned below:

Total Number of vacancies: 472 posts

Post Wise Number of Vacancies:

1. Jr.Overman: 142 posts

2. Mining Sirdar: 317 posts

3. Surveyor(Mining): 13 posts

Post-wise Minimum Qualification:

1. Junior Overman:

(I) Diploma in Mining Engineering from a recognized institute

(II) Valid Overman’s Certificate Issued by DGMS

(III) Valid First Aid Certificate

(IV) Valid Gas Testing Certificates

2.Mining Sirdar:

(I) Valid Mining Sirdar’s Certificate Issued by DGMS

(II) Valid First Aid Certificate

(III) Valid Gas Testing Certificate


(I) Valid Surveyors Certificate Issued by DGMS

(II) Matriculation from any Recognized Board

Age Limit:

Candidates those who are applying for these post must be in between the age from 18 years to 30 years as on 10th October, 2013. However relaxation will be given in the upper age limit for the candidates of SC/ST and OBC (Non Creamy Layer) by 05 years and three

years espectively.

Remuneration and Other Benifits:

Salary for the post of Jr, Overman,Grade T&S Gr.C and Mining Sirdar, Grade T&S Gr.C will be Rs. 19,035.02 Basic per month. For the post of Surveyor (Mining), Grade T&S Gr.B is Rs. 20552.37 Basic per month. Apart from this salary annual increment @3% of Basic payment and

other benifits like Medical facilities of self and dependents, sick leave, casual leave, earned leave and Pension etc. will be given to the candidates as per Company’s Rules.

Application Fee:

General and OBC candidates are required to send Fee of Rs. 100/- by Demand Draft from any Nationalized Bank In favour of “BHARAT COKING COAL LIMITED” payable at DHANBAD. However SC/ST candidates are exempted from the fee.

Selection Process:

Process of selection for these posts consist of written examination and interview.

Medical Fitness:

For final appointment/joining a medical examination will be carried out by a medical board authorized by the company and candidate has to obtain “Medical Fitness”.

Last Date :

Last date of application form to reach office is the 10th October,2013 by 5.00 PM.
